Senior Applications Developer – Java Full Stack

Position Overview

We are seeking aSenior Applications Developer / Java Full Stack Developer with strong hands-on experience in Java development, Microsoft SQL Server, stored procedures, and SWIFT messaging within the financial services industry.

The ideal candidate will have a solid software development background and experience working with financial applications, particularlySWIFT MT5xx securities messages.

Work Location:New York, NY – On-Site

Note: The position is primarily targeted to candidates in theNew York Metropolitan area. If the local candidate pool is limited, the search may be broadened to candidates outside the NY Metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications usingJava.

• Develop and maintain applications across the full stack as required.

• Design, optimize, and troubleshootMS SQL Server databases and stored procedures.

• Work with business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable application solutions.

• Develop and support applications that process and integrateSWIFT financial messages.

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application and production issues.

• Participate in application design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

• Ensure applications meet performance, reliability, security, and quality standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a financial services environment.
  

Required Skills

• Strong hands-onJava development experience.

• Strong experience withMS SQL Server.

• Strong experience developing and working withSQL stored procedures.

• Experience withSWIFT messaging standards and financial messaging.

• Understanding ofSWIFT MT messages, particularlyMT5xx.

• Experience working in thefinancial services / banking / securities domain is strongly preferred.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  

Preferred Experience

• Experience withSWIFT MT500-series / MT5xx securities messages.

• Experience with securities processing, settlement, trade processing, or related financial applications.

• Full-stack application development experience.

• Experience working with enterprise-scale financial applications.

1. Java Development – strong hands-on development experience.

2. MS SQL Server & Stored Procedures – strong database development and stored procedure experience.
