CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSÂ
- Conduct assessment of clients diagnosed with developmental disabilities and produce assessment reports to include a recommendation for treatment and supervision hours.
- Assure clients and caregivers receive interventions regularly and offers are made to caregivers/clients to meet DMHC and regulatory requirements.
- Select and deliver appropriate intervention to clients experiencing gaps in care.
- Observe and assess client skills and progress to inform recommendations for ongoing intervention and behavioral programming.
- Collaborate and consult with service providers regarding assessment results as needed.
- Review client history and clinical documentation to ensure requirements of regulatory agencies are met and funding sources are clinically accurate and appropriate.
- Participate in and support the development of continuing education presentations to network providers.
- Maintain accurate documentation of billable tasks that meet regulatory agencies and funding sources requirement and is HIPAA compliant.
- Track direct client sessions and maintain timelines defined within standard operating procedures by following standard clinical operations.
- Â Responsible to complete other duties as assigned by supervisor based on business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:Â
- Master's degree, from an accredited college or university in one of the following disciplines is required: Applied Behavior Analysis, Early Childhood Education/Development, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, Pediatric Therapy, Psychology, or related field.
- 3+ years certification by Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBAÂŽ) regulatory board.
- 4+ years of experience implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis services, preferably with people with ASD.
- Fluency in multiple languages preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.
- A commitment to the values of the organization while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, patience and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
- Excellent verbal and writing communication skills; frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.
- Knowledgeable in evidence-based methodologies found to benefit individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-Handicapped Children (TEACCH), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and Pivotal Response Training (PRT).
- Training in the field of ABA/Behavioral Health Treatment, and knowledge of other community resources and agencies that serve children.
- Experience interpreting and implementing policies, procedures, and regulations of CCS.
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate effectively within the work environment, read and write using the primary language in the workplace.
- Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff, and others in the workplace continuously.
- Frequent speaking and listening (25-75%) to clients, staff, and others in the workplace.
- Utilize computer and cell phone for effective communication.
- Frequent sitting.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTÂ
- Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.
- Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
- Must attend all required training.
