Job Overview

We are looking for aLead Engineer – Software (P2) to join our engineering team inHyderabad.

In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and verification ofengineering tools, software applications, and reusable software libraries that support aerospace software development.

You will work across bothfront-end and back-end technologies, developing solutions usingJavaScript, C, and C++. As an independent contributor, you will take technical ownership of assigned features and components while collaborating with software engineers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders.

This role also provides an opportunity tomentor engineers, strengthen team capabilities, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute to engineering excellence within a global aerospace organization.

What You Will Do

• Work as an independent contributor in thedesign, development, enhancement, and verification of software tools, applications, and reusable software libraries.
• Design, develop, modify, document, and test software applications and engineering tools usingJavaScript, C, and C++.
• Develop robust and user-focusedfront-end applications and reliableback-end services and components.
• Ensure effective interaction between front-end, back-end, databases, libraries, and other application layers.
• Understand and manage interfaces, dependencies, and interactions betweensoftware applications, libraries, databases, and external hardware/software components.
• Apply sound software design, debugging, and problem-solving techniques to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Collaborate withsoftware engineers, architects, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members and help strengthen technical capabilities across the offshore engineering team.
• Support the software engineering team in executing planned development activities and project commitments.
• Identify and proactively managedependencies, technical issues, risks, and constraints, escalating them early to minimize project impact.
• Ensure software development follows applicableengineering processes, coding standards, quality practices, and configuration-management guidelines.
• Take technical ownership of assignedfeatures, software components, and project milestones, ensuring timely delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of software development and engineering practices.
• Promote a strong culture ofintegrity, accountability, collaboration, and professional work ethics within the team.

Qualifications You Must Have

• 3+ years of experience in software application development.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree inComputer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience in:JavaScriptCC++
• Experience developingfront-end and back-end applications.
• Experience developing software tools andreusable software libraries.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills usingVisual Studio and other development/debugging tools.
• Good understanding of:Software architectureSystem software conceptsOperating systemsBinary executablesDebugging information
• Experience with software configuration management and change-control processes.
• Experience with tools such asSVN, Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Experience with development environments, debuggers, static analysis, code-quality, and software-testing tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to take technical ownership of assigned software features and project milestones.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience working inaerospace, avionics, safety-critical, or regulated software development environments.
• Exposure toARINC 661, ARINC 429, or AFDX specifications.
• Working knowledge ofAgile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience providingtechnical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
• Experience working with complex software applications and engineering tools.
• Ability to proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, and project constraints.
• Strong interest in learning new technologies and applying modern software engineering practices.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
  • Computer Science
  • Computer Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Software Engineering
  • or a related STEM discipline.
• Typically requires aUniversity Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
