- Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs.
- Assist with activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
- Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
- Support individuals in achieving goals and objectives outlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress accordingly.
- Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members.
- Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed.
- Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation in accordance with program and regulatory requirements.
Required (Must-Have)Ā
- Minimum of 18 years of ageĀ
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insuranceĀ
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communicationĀ
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishĀ
- Willingness toĀ assistĀ individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)Ā
Physical RequirementsĀ
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periodsĀ
- Ability toĀ lift upĀ to 50Ā lbsĀ
Skills & AbilitiesĀ
- Experience, training, or transferable skills that support success in a direct support roleĀ
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skillsĀ
- Genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesĀ
- Ability to promote independence, community engagement, and person-centered supportsĀ
