Senior BIM Engineer(Bridge & Tunnel Structures)

Job Description:

Position Summary:
The Structural BIM Engineer will be responsible fordeveloping advanced 3D structural models, implementingautomation workflows, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering projects throughAutodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) in compliance withISO 19650 standards.2D drawings are produced as a minor deliverable from the 3D model. The role is focused onBIM engineering, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and efficiency in bridges, tunnels, and related infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain3D structural models for pump stations , utility structures , bridges, tunnels, piers, abutments, decks, and reinforcement using Revit.
• Implementautomation and parametric workflows (e.g., Dynamo) to enhance modeling efficiency and accuracy.
• PerformBIM coordination with Civil, MEP, and Architectural disciplines, includingclash detection using Navisworks or Revit.
• Manage project models, data, and deliverables withinAutodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or equivalent CDE platforms.
• Ensure compliance withISO 19650 standards, BIM Execution Plans, and client requirements.
• Extract quantities, schedules, and annotations from models for documentation and reporting.
• Produce2D drawings (plans, sections, reinforcement details)as minor outputs derived from the 3D model.
• Update models and deliverables based on design revisions, RFIs, and engineering comments.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong expertise in3D structural modeling for bridges and tunnels.
• Experience withautomation in Revit (Dynamo) to streamline modeling and documentation tasks.
• Proficiency inBIM coordination, clash detection, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Familiarity withISO 19650 standards and BIM Execution Plans.
• Knowledge of structural detailing, reinforcement modeling, and constructability considerations.
• Ability to manage large models, families, and standardized Revit templates efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5-8 years of experience in structural BIM engineering ( bridges and tunnels).

Preferred:

• Certified Autodesk Revit Professional is a plus
• Certified ISO 19650 Practitioner/professional is a plus
