The supervisor oversees a team of drivers [Class A and B] delivering to Domino’s Pizza stores. The supervisor is responsible for scheduling drivers, routing trucks, reviewing trip sheets for accuracy and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, state, local laws, and company policies and programs. Effectively and efficiently handle customer complaints and concerns. Train new drivers in job duties, safely, and complete Job Safety Observations (JSO). The supervisor must be comfortable working in a diverse, fast paced environment.Â
- Salary:Â $85-90,000 + potential to earn up to 10% company bonus
- Shift: Mon-Fri, 10AM-7PM plus rotating weekends
(every third weekend will work Saturday & Sunday)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESÂ
Leadership:Â
- Recruit, interview, select, and mentor new and tenured driversÂ
- Support driver engagement initiativesÂ
- Monitor driver's performance and hold them accountable when performance is below expectations, using coaching and/or progressive discipline as neededÂ
- Complete driver’s annual performance reviewsÂ
- Review driver’s lytx and logs and coach according to companyÂ
- Collaborate in driver onboarding and trainingÂ
- Ensure safe work environment in compliance with FMCSA, OSHA, company standards, local, state, and federal requirementsÂ
- Effectively communicate day-to-day with drivers, departments, and vendorsÂ
- Create positive environment, morale, and respect among team membersÂ
- Attend and participate in classroom or virtual Leadership & Development trainingsÂ
- Coordinate safety/team/quarterly meetingsÂ
Reporting/Budget:Â
- Prepare and assist with Transportation generated reportsÂ
- Monitor budget and fuel cards to ensure funds are maximizedÂ
- Participate in the development of budgetsÂ
Routing, Scheduling, Hours of Service, and Maintenance:Â
- Weekly schedule driver routes and re-routing as necessary to ensure route coverageÂ
- Conduct route analysis and recommend saving opportunities to ManagerÂ
- Monitor driver hours of service via the onboard systemÂ
- Conduct route observations to ensure Drivers are safely performing their duties as required by company and DOT standards (The number of observations per period is determined by the number of drivers at the SCC)Â
- Maintain and monitor food safety standards in compliance with company and franchisee requirementsÂ
- Perform payroll duties when necessary and review driver payroll for accuracyÂ
- Monitor misdeliveries, and make recommendations to the manager on avoidance strategiesÂ
- Maintain driver qualification fileÂ
- Schedule truck maintenance and maintain fleet imageÂ
- Conduct accident investigationsÂ
- Coordinate deliveries and backhaul activitiesÂ
- Assist the Transportation Manager with truck leasing meetings to ensure PMs are met to Domino’s standard and repairs are completed in a timely mannerÂ
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadershipÂ
- As needed, if qualified, drive a company vehicle or straight truck for deliveries or to the leasing company for service/maintenance, and on occasion, work the yardÂ
- Willingness to support a 24-hour operation, including carrying an emergency cell phone as needed
Customer Relations:Â
- Maintain positive customer relationshipsÂ
- Customer SurveysÂ
- High School Diploma, some college hours, 2-year degree preferredÂ
- 2-3 years of documented supervisory experienceÂ
- 2-3 years route scheduling experienceÂ
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation, FMSCA rules and regulationsÂ
- MS Office, SAP, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), computers, and scanner equipment/software Â
- Results-oriented with strong organizational, decision making and people skillsÂ
- Successfully pass a background check every third year on your anniversary dateÂ
- Commercial Driver’s License Class A, a plusÂ
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSÂ
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, climb stairs, and lift to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. on occasionÂ
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, and pull throughout the shiftÂ
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures (non-airconditioned warehouse), both indoors and outdoors, including refrigerated conditions [33-38]Â
- Ability to work in an environment with exposure to loud machineryÂ
- Must be able to work around yeast and flourÂ
