Responsibilities
Maintenance Engineer- MaintainĀ and fix A/C and Refrigeration systems as related to a hotel/restaurant environment
- Operate, fix, and maintain the industrial-laundry facility and equipment to include washers, dryers, ironers, spreaders, folders, and steam presses
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen appliances such as:
- Commercial ovens, fryers, steamers, and grillsĀ
- Walk-in coolers and freezers (electrical components)Ā
- Dish machines and sanitizersĀ
- Food warmers, mixers, and prep equipmentĀ
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairing electrical systems/assemblies, lamping, installation of receptacles, switches, bending conduit, and resetting breakers
- The Maintenance Engineer will be primarily responsible for independently troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing HVAC, electrical systems, and commercial kitchen equipment critical to hotel operations. This includes refrigeration units, ovens, grills, steam tables, and other essential kitchen appliances.
- This role involves general maintenance and operation of mechanical systems including boilers, chillers, generators, lighting systems, and other equipment powered by electricity, steam, air, gas, diesel, or water. The technician will also be expected to support the upkeep and functionality of all facility systems commonly found throughout the Resort property.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Able to effectively work independently or as part of a team
- Basic communication skills (able to positively talk with Guest, Cast Members and leadership)
- Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and special events
- Excellent Hospitality skills
- Ability to multi task and work in a very fast paced environment
- Able to fix electrical and mechanical systems
- 3+ years of experience working with Hot and cold side of commercial kitchen equipment
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and safety protocols
- Must have EPA 608 certificate or Universal Certificate
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals
- Interact with Guest and other cast members answering questions, providing directions, event information, and other service to create a magical experience for our Guests
Preferred Qualifications
Maintenance Engineer- Prior experience in the maintenance of hotel guest rooms and public spaces

Those assigned to theMaintenance Mechanic position are required to attend annual Respiratory Protection Training and Hearing Conservation Training classes. They are also required to participate in an annual audiometric exam, medical evaluation and fit test.Those assigned to theElectricianposition are required to attend an annual Hearing Conservation training class and Lead Awareness class. They are also required to submit to an annual audiometric exam and a semi-annual Lead/Zinc blood test.
Those assigned to theGardenerposition are required to attend an annual Hearing Conservation Training class. They are also required to submit to an annual audiometric exam.
Those assigned to theHorticulture Integrated Pest Management Applicator (Horticulture Exterminator) position are required to attend an annual Hearing Conservation Training class and Respiratory Protection Training class. They are also required to submit to an annual medical evaluation, fit test, audiometric exam and a semi-annual blood cholinesterase test.
Those assigned to thePlastererĀ position are required to attend an annual Hearing Conservation Training class, Respiratory Protection Training class and a Lead Awareness class. Ā They are also required to submit to an annual medical evaluation, fit test, audiometric exam and a semi-annual Lead/Zinc blood test.
Those assigned to theOperating Engineer position are required to attend an annual Hearing Conservation training class, Respiratory Protection training class, and Lead Awareness class. They are also required to submit to an annual medical evaluation, fit test, audiometric exam and a semi-annual Lead/Zinc blood test.
SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY:Ā
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
