About the Job:
The Director of Med Surg and ICU is responsible for the effective operation of the Medical Surgical and ICU Services at The Client. This role ensures high-quality, cost-effective patient care, manages nursing personnel, and leads the implementation of departmental projects and goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide education, direction, and mentorship to the nursing team, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and patient care standards.

• Collaborate with team members to deliver quality patient care and achieve positive outcomes.

• Oversee nursing competencies, infection control, employee health, safety, case management, and program evaluation.

• Maintain adherence to accreditation standards as set forth by the State, TJC, and CMS.

• Ensure continuous process improvement and accountability within the nursing team.

• Uphold strict Infection Control standards and ensure licensure and competencies for all staff.

• Participate in and manage staffing needs, considering census, acuity, skill levels, and availability.

• Address concerns from staff, physicians, patients, and families promptly and take corrective actions as needed.

• Attend all relevant meetings and huddles to stay updated on departmental and hospital-wide initiatives.

• Drive the clinical aspects of utilization review within the Med Surg and ICU departments.

Requirements:

• Must be a licensed RN in the State of Utah.

• Med Surg or ICU nursing experience is required.

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.

• BSN is preferred.

• A minimum of two years of management/leadership experience is required.

Schedule:
Full-time, Day shift, 10+ hours per shift, weekdays only.
