🚀 Project Overview 

You will join a dynamic engineering team supporting a premier global entertainment, sports, and media enterprise. As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, your primary focus will be designing, building, and maintaining robust test automation suites for web applications built with React.js and TypeScript. Working within an Agile/Scaled Agile environment, you will collaborate directly with product managers, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate functional requirements into repeatable test scenarios, advocate for software quality, and elevate testing standards across the development lifecycle.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• Requirements & Case Definition: Collaborate with product managers and developers to refine functional requirements and translate them into comprehensive, reusable, and maintainable test cases.
• Automation Framework Execution: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using UI automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.
• End-to-End Quality Validation: Perform both manual and automated testing to thoroughly validate application functionality, performance, front-end behavior, and overall user experience.
• Framework Maintenance & Scalability: Maintain and optimize test automation frameworks to improve execution speed, test reliability, and coverage for React.js and TypeScript web applications.
• Defect Tracking & Triage: Identify, document, and track software defects with clear reproduction steps in Jira and TestRail, collaborating closely with developers for rapid resolution.
• Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in Agile or Scaled Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Quality Advocacy: Promote testing best practices, continuous integration quality standards, and a proactive commitment to quality throughout the SDLC.

💡 Must-Have Skills

• Test Automation Stack: Hands-on experience building and executing UI-driven test automation suites using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or comparable frameworks.
• Front-End Architecture Literacy: Demonstrated experience working with applications built in React.js and TypeScript, ensuring test coverage aligns with UI logic and component behavior.
• Requirements Translation: Proven ability to capture complex functional requirements and convert them into structured, repeatable test cases and test scenarios.
• Test & Defect Management Tooling: Practical experience using Jira for story tracking/defect logging and TestRail (or similar tools) for test case management.
• Agile/Scaled Agile Delivery: Hands-on experience working as part of an Agile or Scaled Agile engineering team.
• Quality Drive: Passionate commitment to software quality, high attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.

🌟 Nice-to-Have Skills

• CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) to run automated quality checks.
• API Testing: Knowledge of API/backend testing tools (Postman, REST Assured) to complement UI-driven automation.
• Performance & UX Testing: Exposure to basic load, performance, or accessibility testing methodologies for high-traffic web applications.
• Scaled Agile (SAFe): Familiarity with large-scale enterprise delivery models and cross-team dependency management.

🌐 Time Zone & CollaborationThe role requires collaboration with teams aligned to Eastern Time (ET). Flexibility to overlap with North America business hours is expected.
