Day Shift

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team in Novi, United States. In this role, you will provide essential respiratory care services to patients across various clinical settings, utilizing your expertise in respiratory therapy to improve patient outcomes. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and professionalism.

• Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status, including vital signs, oxygen saturation levels, and breathing patterns
• Administer oxygen therapy and other respiratory treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
• Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilation systems, ensuring proper function and patient safety
• Perform airway management procedures, including intubation assistance and extubation support
• Conduct pulmonary function tests and interpret results to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health records system
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatment options, and proper use of respiratory equipment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe, sterile environment
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and provide respiratory support as needed
• Stay current with respiratory care best practices and participate in ongoing professional development

Qualifications:

• Current Respiratory Therapist Registration or Certification (NBRC or equivalent state certification)
• Proven experience in respiratory care delivery and patient assessment
• Strong knowledge of respiratory diseases, conditions, and treatment modalities
• Proficiency with mechanical ventilation systems and oxygen delivery equipment
• Excellent clinical documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environments
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for patient monitoring and assessment
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Preferred: Experience in critical care, intensive care unit (ICU), or emergency department settings
• Preferred: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Preferred: Experience with pulmonary function testing and interpretation
