What You’ll Be Part Of
As a Software Products Portfolio Management Specialist within HARMAN Automotive, you will create a connected view of portfolio performance across product plans, customer commitments, engineering investment, resources, and delivery. You will consolidate data from enterprise platforms, customer-management tools, planning repositories, and operational sources into clear insights on priorities, dependencies, gaps, risks, and opportunities. Working with product, engineering, sales, delivery, and portfolio teams, you will strengthen governance, data quality, and portfolio decision-making.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Maintain a holistic & detailed view of the automotive software products portfolio using data from enterprise platforms, customer-management tools, planning repositories, and operational sources
Monitor product and customer activity, engineering investment, resource deployment, lifecycle stage, delivery milestones, and portfolio outcomes
Prepare monthly and quarterly portfolio reviews against targets, roadmaps, commitments, and prior periods, explaining key deviations and trends
Develop scalable Excel models and Power BI dashboards with clear product, customer, program, and portfolio views
Validate source data, mappings, hierarchies, and reporting logic to improve accuracy and consistency across portfolio reviews
Support portfolio planning, rolling outlooks, and scenarios by connecting roadmaps, market inputs, delivery capacity, and resource needs
Coordinate portfolio governance by clarifying assumptions, dependencies, decisions, owners, timelines, and follow-up actions
Provide concise recommendations on portfolio risks, improvement opportunities, prioritization, sequencing, and corrective actions
What Makes You A Strong Fit
5+ Years of strong portfolio analysis capability, with the ability to connect complex data, identify patterns, and translate findings into practical actions
Experience working with large structured datasets and extracting information from enterprise and customer-management platforms
Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI, including data modelling, dashboards, validation, and repeatable reporting
High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to data quality, documentation, governance, and process improvement
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills across product, engineering, sales, delivery, and leadership teams in a global environment
Bonus Points if You Have
Experience in software portfolio management, product operations, or a technology environment
Working knowledge of SQL, workflow automation, or methods for improving data preparation and reporting
Experience building multi-source portfolio views and supporting cross-functional portfolio reviews
Must be based out of Bangalore or willing to relocate as per role requirements
Willingness to work in EU shifts, as required to support global stakeholders
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment (post-offer).
