As a Production Specialist, you will perform a variety of manufacturing tasks producing high quality medical diagnostic products while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role supports IDEXX's OPTI Medical Systems line of business. OPTI Medical Systems, Inc. specializes in the design and manufacturing of point-of-care and laboratory diagnostic solutions, leveraging advanced technologies to develop products that combine accuracy with convenience, ease of use, and clinical flexibility to support infectious disease diagnostics as well as point-of-care blood gas and electrolyte analysis using optical fluorescence technology.
In this role:
You'll read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing and quality control documents, technical procedures, and government regulations.
You'll operate a variety of machines on a rotating basis, including set-up, operation, clean-up, change-over, troubleshooting, and minor repair for manufacturing equipment in the work center.
You'll cross-train across multiple work centers, building new skills along the way.
You'll use basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
You'll partner closely with your team, and may help train other employees on production and process.
You'll operate under 5S & Lean Manufacturing principles and ISO standards.
What you need to succeed:
Some manufacturing or production experience is a plus, but not required — we're willing to train the right person who brings a desire to learn.
A High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the production floor: standing for 2hr+, sitting, phone & computer use, extended reach, lifting up to 50lb, occasionally climbing, kneeling, or bending, and specific vision abilities — close, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
What you can expect from us:
An hourly rate target of $19.00 / hour.
Shift Differential $2.00 / hour

Schedule:Â
The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM.
The shifts and hours may vary slightly depending on business needs.
Overtime and On-call time may be required.
Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of this position.
