What's the role?
We’re looking for a dynamicDirector, Business Development focused on securingIntegrated Facility Services (IFS) partnerships acrossK‑12 districts and higher education institutions. You’ll be working with multi‑site environments where operational reliability, cost management, and campus experience are closely linked.
We partner withK-12 school districts, private universities, and higher educationsystemsto manage and optimize their built environments - allowing administrators and leadership teams to focus on academic outcomes while we ensure operational excellence. The emphasis is on multi-year, bundled solutions that include:
- Custodial / janitorial services.Â
- Facilities maintenance (preventative & reactive).Â
- HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems support.Â
- Grounds and exterior services.Â
- Facilities management (FM) and staffing models.Â
- Energy management and sustainability programs.
- Capital planning support and asset lifecycle management.Â
Details
- Own full‑cycle business development for integrated facility services within the education sector.
- Build and manage a pipeline of complex, multi‑site opportunities across school districts and campus environments.
- Identify and target key accounts across K‑12, private universities, and higher education systems.
- Lead consultative discovery processes, aligning solutions to institutional priorities such as budget constraints, deferred maintenance, and campus standards.
- Navigatemulti‑stakeholder environments, engaging finance leaders, facilities teams, procurement, and governance bodies.
- Structure and positionintegrated service models that balance operational effectiveness, cost efficiency, and long‑term performance.
- Partner with internal teams to design, price, and structure solutions aligned to client needs.
- LeadRFPs,proposals, and contractnegotiationswithin both public and private sector procurement environments.
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management and forecasting using CRM tools.
- Deliver againstrevenue,margin, and long‑termcontract value objectives.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- You bring a strong combination of commercial acumen and operational understanding, with the ability to navigatecomplexenvironments and buildcredibilitywith senior stakeholders.
- 7–10+ years of experience insolution‑based selling withinfacility services, outsourcing, ormanaged services.Â
- Direct experience working withK‑12 school districts and/or higher education institutions.
- A proven track record of closing large, multi‑year contracts (typically $1M+ annually).Â
- Strong understanding ofintegrated facility management models, including bundled service delivery acrosstechnicalandsoft services.Â
- Experience navigating procurement‑driven environments and formal RFP processes.Â
- The ability to translate operational solutions into clear financial and institutional value.Â
- Strong relationship‑building skills with executive‑level and operational stakeholders.Â
- A collaborative approach, working cross‑functionally with operations, finance, and technical teams.Â
- A degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Â
- Flexibility totravelbased on client needs (approximately 60–70%).
