Meet the Team
Dexcom’s Government Affairs team is responsible for advancing legislative, regulatory, and reimbursement policies that support patient access, innovation, and business growth. Working closely with federal, state, and international government affairs professionals, as well as policy, market access, regulatory, and executive leadership teams, the Lead Senior Manager of Federal Government Affairs will help drive Dexcom’s federal advocacy strategy and strengthen the company’s presence in Washington, D.C.Â
Where You Come In
- Lead the development and execution of Dexcom’s federal government affairs strategy to support business objectives and expand patient access to CGM technology.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Members of Congress, congressional staff, federal agencies, trade associations, and key healthcare stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze federal legislative, regulatory, and reimbursement developments affecting medical technology, diabetes care, digital health, and chronic disease management.
- Develop and implement advocacy strategies related to Medicare, Medicaid, commercial reimbursement, FDA regulation, health technology assessment, and broader healthcare policy issues.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, Clinical Affairs, and Commercial teams.
- Identify and drive opportunities to advance Dexcom priorities through legislation, regulation, appropriations, and federal agency engagement.
- Represent Dexcom in industry coalitions, trade association workgroups, and external stakeholder meetings.
- Develop briefing materials, policy analyses, executive talking points, testimony, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
- Support executive engagement with policymakers and government stakeholders, including preparation of meetings and advocacy events.
- Mentor and provide leadership to members of the Government Affairs team while helping strengthen the department’s long-term capabilities.

- Strong knowledge of healthcare policy, reimbursement, medical technology, and federal health agencies.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to navigate complex and rapidly evolving policy environments.
- Strong strategic thinking, project management, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in federal government affairs, public policy, congressional offices, federal agencies, trade associations, or related healthcare advocacy roles.
- Significant experience working on healthcare, medical technology, reimbursement, Medicare, Medicaid, or FDA-related issues.
- Established network of relationships within Congress, the Administration, trade associations, and healthcare stakeholder organizations.
- Experience leading complex policy initiatives and advocacy campaigns.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience advocating on behalf of a medical device, biotechnology, digital health, or healthcare company.
- Understanding of diabetes policy, chronic disease management, and emerging healthcare technologies.
- Experience managing consultants, coalition partners, and external advocacy resources.
- Previous people leadership experience.

Experience and Education Requirements:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 13+ years of industry experience
5-8 years of previous people management experience
Remote Workplace:
Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
