DevOps Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a DevOps Lead for a hybrid position (3 days onsite required) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ, or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is for a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise container platforms within highly regulated financial services environments. Skilled in container onboarding, CI/CD automation, infrastructure-as-code, and platform engineering using OpenShift and Kubernetes, the ideal candidate will support multiple agile delivery teams through automation, operational resilience, and modern software delivery practices. This position will be a mix of hands-on support and leadership of a small team.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications
• Enable development teams to onboard and deploy applications onto the enterprise container platform
• Implement DevSecRegOps controls, including security scanning and compliance validation
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for repeatable environment provisioning
• Manage OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters and associated platform services
• Automate application deployment, monitoring, scaling, and recovery processes
• Work with application teams to improve reliability, security, and operational readiness
• Support vulnerability remediation efforts and security compliance initiatives
• Establish platform standards, deployment patterns, and operational guardrails
• Drive modernization efforts across legacy and cloud-native application portfolios

Requirements:

• 12+ years of overall experience as a Senior Engineer
• 10+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
• 3+ years supporting Containers, OpenShift, or equivalent solutions in enterprise environments
• Experience in financial services, banking, or other highly regulated industries
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for Java/Spring Boot applications using Jenkins
• Familiarity with enterprise security controls, compliance processes, and audit requirements
• Experience supporting multiple Agile teams within a shared platform model
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and secrets management
• Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
• Core Technical Skills: Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Container onboarding and deployment, Service Mesh (Istio), and container networking

Desired skills:

• Technical and team leadership experience
• UI or Reporting experience
• ReactJS

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
