We are seeking a Principal Signal Integrity (SI) Engineer to serve as a technical leader and subject-matter expert for high-speed system design. This role is responsible for defining SI strategy, driving architectural decisions, and solving the most complex signal challenges across advanced multi-gigabit platforms. As a senior individual contributor, you will influence product direction, establish best practices, and lead technical initiatives across multiple teams and programs.

What youāll achieve:Ā
As aTechnical Staff Engineering Technologist (Signal Integrity), youāll provide expert guidance on technology investigations, prototyping strategies, and data generation that drive product decisions. Youāll synthesize insights from experiments and literature to advise leaders and shape roadmaps. You will mentor technologists and contribute to playbooks and tool improvements.Ā

You will:Ā
Act as the technical authority for Signal Integrity across multiple programs and product lines
Define system-level SI architecture and strategy, including channel budgets, loss targets, and margin requirements
Lead end-to-end SI ownership from concept and architecture through design, validation, and production
Drive pre-layout and post-layout simulation methodologies and sign-off criteria across the organization
Develop and standardize design rules and best practices for:Ā
PCB stack-up and materials selection
High-speed routing constraints
Return path continuity and via design
Crosstalk and noise mitigation strategies

Essential Requirements:Ā
10+ years of experience in signal integrity, high-speed design, or related domain
Deep expertise in:Ā
Electromagnetic theory and transmission line behavior
High-speed digital system design and channel modeling
Multi-gigabit serial link analysis and optimization
Proven track record of delivering complex, high-speed systems to production.
Expert-level proficiency with SI tools:Ā
Keysight ADS
Ansys HFSS / SIwave
Cadence Sigrity
Strong experience with:Ā
Advanced PCB design and stack-up definition
Package and interconnect modeling
High-speed interface standards and compliance
Ā
Desirable Requirements:
Typically requires 15+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor's degree; or 12+ years and a Master's degree; or 8+ years and a PhD; or equivalent experience
Contributions to industry standards or technical publicationsĀ

Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $229,500 ā $297,000.
