TheGlobal Test Engineering (GTE) team develops advanced manufacturing test automation solutions for Dell’s portfolio ofAI Server and Storage products.
Over the next2–3 years, we are modernizing AI rack‑level testing into anAI‑driven, scalable, and secure platform, accelerating time‑to‑market for industry‑leading AI infrastructure used by the world’s most innovative companies.

This is an excellent opportunity for aSoftware Senior Engineer to contribute to high‑impact systems, gain deep product exposure, and grow technical leadership skills within a fast‑evolving engineering organization.

What You’ll Achieve

As aSoftware Senior Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver high‑quality software solutions aligned with Dell’s manufacturing, product, and business requirements.

You will:

  • Contribute across theSoftware Development Lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Developscalable, reliable, and maintainable software for manufacturing test and automation environments
  • Collaborate closely withproduct, manufacturing, and test engineering teams to understand system behaviour and requirements
  • Work within anAgile development team, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and continuous improvement
  • Debug and resolvecomplex technical issues across software and system boundaries
  • Apply emerging technologies, includingAI‑assisted and agentic workflows, to improve test efficiency and development velocity
  • Share knowledge and best practices, providingtechnical guidance to less experienced engineers

Essential Requirements

  • Solid experience insoftware development and engineering fundamentals
  • Proficiency in one or moreprogramming languages, with the ability to design, code, test, and debug complex systems
  • Experience working withoperating systems, networking concepts, and system‑level interactions
  • Exposure to multipletools, databases, operating systems, and hardware platforms
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt tonew technologies, tools, and environments
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills within cross‑functional teams

 

Desirable Requirements

  • 5–7 years of relevant software engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent 
  • Experience withmanufacturing systems, test automation, embedded software, firmware, BIOS, or device‑level integration

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, or AI‑assisted development tools
