What You’ll Achieve
As aSoftware Principal Engineer, you will be responsible forarchitecting, designing, and developing sophisticated software systems aligned with Dell’s manufacturing, product, and business requirements.
You will:
- Lead and contribute across theentire Software Development Lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture and design, implementation, testing, and delivery
- Work as part of ahighly motivated Agile development team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Partner closely withDell product and manufacturing teams to gain deep insight into Dell’s server and storage platforms
- Design software solutions that arescalable, secure, and resilient, supporting high‑volume manufacturing environments
- Learn, apply, and help shape the use ofAgentic AI technologies to accelerate critical development, test, and manufacturing workflows
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship, setting a high bar for engineering excellence

Essential Requirements
- Strong knowledge ofsoftware engineering fundamentals, including programming languages, operating systems, and system‑level concepts
- Experience designing, coding, and debuggingcomplex, scalable systems, with the ability to guide and mentor other engineers
- Exposure to multipleprogramming languages, operating systems, databases, tools, and hardware platforms
- Understanding ofsystem, network, operating system, and application‑level interactions
- Demonstrated ability tolearn new tools, technologies, and platforms through a combination of training and hands‑on experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross‑functional environment

Desirable Requirements
- 6–8 years of relevant software engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalentÂ
- Experience withmanufacturing, test automation, embedded systems, firmware, BIOS, or device‑level software (highly beneficial)
- Familiarity withAI‑assisted development or automation workflows is a plus
