TheGlobal Test Engineering (GTE) team builds and operates advanced manufacturing test automation solutions supporting Dell’s portfolio ofAI Server and Storage products.
As we modernize AI rack‑level testing into ascalable, software‑driven platform, we are looking for aSoftware Engineer to help design, build, and maintain reliable systems that support high‑volume manufacturing.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to grow their skills while working on real‑world systems that power industry‑leading AI infrastructure.

 

What You’ll Achieve

As aSoftware Engineer 2 (I6), you will contribute to the design and development of software solutions that support manufacturing test and automation workflows.

You will:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software components under the guidance of more senior engineers
  • Contribute across thesoftware development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, implementation, testing, and deployment
  • Writeclean, maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews
  • Debug and resolve issues insoftware and system‑level environments
  • Collaborate withcross‑functional teams including manufacturing, test, and product engineers
  • Learn and apply new tools, technologies, and development practices, includingAI‑assisted workflows
  • Continuously improve software quality, performance, and reliability

 

Essential Requirements

  • Experience insoftware development fundamentals, including coding, testing, and debugging
  • Proficiency in at least oneprogramming language 
  • Basic understanding ofoperating systems, networking concepts, and system interactions
  • Ability to work withexisting tools, frameworks, and hardware environments
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness and ability tolearn new technologies through hands‑on experience
  • Good communication and collaboration skills

 

Desirable Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant software engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent 
  • Exposure tomanufacturing systems, test automation, embedded software, firmware, or hardware‑adjacent development
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices
