Principal Engineer, Service Delivery

What you’ll achieve

As a Principal Engineer, Service Delivery, you will provide world-class technical expertise by managing and supporting enterprise data protection environments across Dell’s global customers. You will act as a technical leader and escalation point, ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of backup, recovery, and infrastructure platforms.

You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, SLA adherence, and continuous improvement initiatives, while collaborating with global teams and leading critical customer engagements.

You will:

  • Manage and supportend-to-end data protection environments (PPDM, NetWorker, Data Domain)
  • HandleL3 troubleshooting, incidents, and major escalations
  • EnsureSLA adherence, backups, restores, and disaster recovery readiness
  • Leadupgrades, migrations, and performance optimization
  • Collaborate with customers and teams, providingtechnical leadership and guidance

Essential Requirements

  • 9+ years inDell EMC Data Protection (PPDM, NetWorker, Data Domain)
  • Strong expertise inbackup & recovery (VMware, Oracle, SQL)
  • Proventroubleshooting & incident management skills
  • Experience inmigration, upgrades, DR, and capacity planning
  • Working knowledge ofITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem)

 

Desirable Requirements

  • Certifications inPPDM / NetWorker / Data Domain / ITIL
  • Exposure tocloud, hybrid environments, and storage/virtualization
