We are looking for a highly skilledSenior Observability Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain large‑scale observability platforms that provide deep visibility into distributed systems. You will work across engineering teams to ensure our services are measurable, reliable, performant, and debuggable. This role requires a strong background in software engineering, modern cloud-native observability stacks, and data‑driven operational excellence.

What you’ll achieve

You will help define and evolve the observability strategy for our services, ensuring engineers have the right insights to build, operate, and scale high‑quality software. You'll work across teams to deliver robust telemetry, enhance reliability, and enable data‑driven operational excellence. 

You will:

  • Implement observability frameworks coveringmetrics, logs, traces, profiling, and events.
  • Build scalable telemetry pipelines using technologies such asOpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Jaeger, Tempo, or similar.
  • Develop instrumentation libraries, SDKs, agents, and exporters for distributed services.
  • Optimize ingestion, storage, and query performance for high‑volume telemetry data.
  • Partner with engineering and SRE teams to define and measureSLIs/SLOs/SLAs.
  • Build dashboards, alerts, and diagnostics tools to support real‑time monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Lead data‑driven incident analysis and provide actionable insights.
  • Automate deployments and configuration of observability systems
  • Champion observability best practices across the engineering organization.

Essential Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering or systems engineering roles.
  • Strong programming skills inPython.
  • Deep experience with cloud‑native platforms (Kubernetes, containers, service mesh architectures).
  • Hands‑on expertise with modern observability stacks (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, New Relic, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, telemetry data flows, and performance engineering.
  • Experience building automation and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable leading cross‑team initiatives.
