Senior FPGA Electrical Engineer

Our global FPGA team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality, and quality, as well as industry standards.

Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:

Essential Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred. 8+ years’ experience in hardware or embedded system design, implementation, and debugging with processor, memory, and I/O subsystems.
  • Advanced understanding of appropriate system architectures. Advanced knowledge in Verilog/ System Verilog and HDL coding practices
  • Proficient with RTL design and simulation test benches. Experience in product development from early Concept through production
  • Strong fundamentals in both analog and digital design practices with desire to share knowledge and mentor others
  • Deep knowledge of hardware and software interactions, and ability to apply this understanding to resolve issues

 

Desirable Requirements

  • M.S. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred. 5+ years’ experience in hardware or embedded system design, implementation, and debugging with processor, memory, and I/O subsystems.
  • Experience with Enterprise Intel/AMD x86 Server design, including planar and system implementations. Experience with Lattice/Xilinx/Altera tool suites. Experience with scripting languages (Python/Batch). Experience with Verilog verification tools (Modelsim/QuestaSim). Experience with Git repository management
