Delivery/Installations

Responsible for duties relating to effective and safe delivery of merchandise to store locations and customer sites within assigned job responsibility.  Unload, stock, and load supplies/furniture for delivery.  Assemble furniture, perform general maintenance and janitorial work.

RECEIVING:

• Safely unload supplies/furniture and stock, as necessary, in warehouse area.

DELIVERY:

• Properly load merchandise on trucks/vans.
• Deliver, as assigned, to specific store/customer locations.
• Perform rural and in-town deliveries as scheduled.

ASSEMBLY:

• As necessary, assemble furniture for customers and for the sales floor.

IN STORE SUPPORT:

• Assist with carry-outs and checking in and stocking of heavy merchandise.
• Help sales personnel load supplies/equipment as needed.

MAINTENANCE:

• As instructed, assist with routine car and building maintenance, installation of large furniture shipments, and janitorial duties.

DOCUMENTATION:

• Prepare documentation relating to delivery promptly and accurately.

OTHER DUTIES AS MAY BE ASSIGNED

Qualifications

• High School Education or Equivalent Desirable
• 6 Months Delivery/Warehouse Experience Preferred           

• Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Good Customer Relation Skills
• Accuracy Skills
• Good Mechanical Aptitude
• Valid Driver's License and Good Driving Record
• Must be Able to Pass DOT Physical
• Ability to Drive Vans/Straight Trucks and Manual Transmission
• Ability to Lift 70 Pounds Repeatedly During the Day
• Ability to Lift Heavier Objects with Cart and/or Assistance
• Ability to Load/Unload Merchandise onto Vans/Trucks
• Ability to Assemble and Install Furniture in Customer Facilities
