Not enough detail in this posting to match
As Production Coordinator in our Sample Shop, you make sure our products can actually be built at the right time, in the right quality and in the quantities our projects need.Â
You accompany your projects from the first feasibility check through initial prototype builds and proof of concept to the different sample phases before series nomination.Â
You are the link between our development projects and the teams that bring our products to life on the shopfloor. You work closely with Project Management, Process Engineering, Quality, Engineering and our Sample Shop team. You keep an eye on timelines, dependencies and open topics and make sure potential issues are addressed before they turn into project blockers.Â
We are still operating in a highly dynamic prototype environment. That means you will not manage projects purely from your desk. You will stay close to our production floor, understand what is happening during the builds and support pragmatically when needed. You do not need to be the technical expert for every topic, but you should be curious enough to understand the challenges and confident enough to bring the right people together.Â
The position is based at our headquarters in Garching and requires regular presence on site.Â
Planning & Build PreparationÂ
• Join design kick-offs and assess new or changed features from a production perspectiveÂ
• Align required sample quantities with the project team and internal validation stakeholdersÂ
• Drive the pre-sample checklist and ensure everything is ready before a build startsÂ
• Keep an eye on the readiness of tooling, work instructions and build documentationÂ
• Support investment assessments for tooling and automationÂ
Build CoordinationÂ
• Coordinate sample builds across the different project phases, from feasibility and first prototype builds to proof of concept and later sample stagesÂ
• Align build activities with the Sample Shop team and Process EngineeringÂ
• Keep work instructions and relevant build information up to date and ensure the team on the shopfloor has what they needÂ
• Help coordinate pragmatic solutions when issues occur during an ongoing buildÂ
• Track open topics from the builds and create transparency around status, ownership and next stepsÂ
Quality & Process InterfaceÂ
• Coordinate maturity assessments together with Process Engineering and QualityÂ
• Track process related action items between project phasesÂ
• Align measurement plans with Process Engineering and QualityÂ
• Ensure the required approval documentation is in place before moving into the next phaseÂ
Coordination & ReportingÂ
• Be the central coordination point for production related topics within your projectsÂ
• Keep the relevant stakeholders informed about progress, open topics and potential risksÂ
• Escalate deviations early when timing, quality or build readiness are at riskÂ
• Prepare and present project phase status updatesÂ
• Coordinate the preparation of customer demonstrations together with EngineeringÂ
Handover to Series ProductionÂ
• Bring the responsible series production coordinator into the project during the B-sample phaseÂ
• Prepare the handover, including maturity status, lessons learned and remaining open topicsÂ
• Make sure relevant knowledge is transferred before the project moves towards series productionÂ
• Several years of experience in production coordination, project coordination, project management, industrialization or a comparable technical environmentÂ
• Experience in automotive, manufacturing or another industrial environmentÂ
• Good technical understanding of manufacturing processes. Experience with electric motor production is a plusÂ
• Familiarity with process maturity and quality methods such as FMEA, Cmk, Cpk and Gage R&RÂ
• Comfortable working with work instructions, process documentation and technical informationÂ
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep track of several stakeholders, dependencies and priorities at the same timeÂ
• A structured and reliable way of working while staying pragmatic when plans changeÂ
• Confidence to follow up on open topics, challenge timelines and escalate risks when necessaryÂ
• A hands-on mindset and genuine interest in what is happening on the shopfloorÂ
• Experience with prototype production, industrialization or production ramp up is a plusÂ
• Fluent English skills are required, German is a strong plusÂ
