We're looking for an experiencedSite Manager to join our growing Infrastructure team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a construction professional to take ownership of site-based project delivery, ensuring rail and infrastructure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Reporting to theConstruction Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the planning, delivery and day-to-day management of construction activities on site, acting as the key point of contact for project teams, contractors and stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

• Oversee the safe and efficient delivery of rail and infrastructure projects on site.
• Understand project requirements and ensure delivery aligns with client and business objectives.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Construction Managers to plan project timescales, resources and budgets.
• Organise, brief and direct site activities to ensure works are completed safely and effectively.
• Review project specifications and determine appropriate construction methodologies.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant and equipment requirements.
• Manage project resources in line with approved budgets and delivery plans.
• Direct and supervise site teams, contractors and subcontractors.
• Ensure all site activities comply with industry standards, regulations and company procedures.
• Provide practical construction knowledge and support project delivery teams with buildability and construction-related matters.
• Undertake the role of Person in Charge (PIC) within Safe Work Planning activities where required.
• Produce or coordinate the HSQE documentation required for project delivery, including Construction Phase Plans, Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, Permits and Safe Systems of Work.
• Promote a positive health, safety, quality and environmental culture across all site activities.
• Investigate and report incidents, damage, delays and other site-related issues in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure document control requirements are maintained in line with company and client standards.
• Provide regular progress updates to Project Managers, Construction Managers and other stakeholders.
• Capture, document and communicate project variations and scope changes.
• Support commercial teams in identifying and recovering costs associated with project changes.
• Assist with project close-out activities, including as-built documentation, final reports and handover information.
• Support the production of operation, maintenance and health and safety documentation at project completion.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience & Qualifications

• Relevant HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience managing construction or infrastructure worksites.
• Experience coordinating site teams, subcontractors and project resources.
• Understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery processes.
• Knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements within a construction environment.
• Experience delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
