Job Description

Position Title:Painter&Blaster 

Position Reports To:Foreman 

Position Summary 

 A Painter & Blastershall perform orassist in the blasting and coating duties as required per the job scope. A Painter Blaster shall also perform general site work such as loading and unloading equipment and materials, site clean-up and preparation,mobilization, and demobilization to and from the jobsite, and general construction tasks. 

Essential Functions 

• Follow verbal directions asrequired to perform duties and responsibilities as listed below.   

• Heavy lifting will often berequired to perform tasks.   

• Must be ableto kneel,squat,andclimb.   

• Must be able to perform required duties for extended periods of time.  

• Clean up of work area, supplies, materials, and equipment.  

• Communicate regularly with the Field Foremanwith regard to issues and concerns on the job site.  

• Responsible for ensuring that work continues in the Foreman’s absence.  

• Comply with all Apache and client safety policies and programs.  

• Maintain a reliable attendancerecords 

• Alwaysmaintains a clean and safe work environment 

• Work unsupervised in an efficient and effective manner. 

• Able to wear all required PPE 

• Other duties as assigned. 

Education & Experience 

• Minimum 1 yearofuninterrupted service with Apache. 

• 2+ years ofblasting industrial experience 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

• Prepare and paint a variety of surfaces including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, aluminum, and concrete while ensuring that the finish coatings are to mil spec requirements. 

• Possesses knowledgeregarding the techniques related to the safe use, storage and disposal of paint and cleaning products. 

• Utilize various coating and lining equipment including airless spray equipment and pluralcomponent pumps. 

• Utilize sand blasting, grit blasting, and other various surface preparation equipment. 

• Clean up of work area, supplies,materials, and equipment. 

• Work unsupervised in an efficient and effective manner. 

• Communicate regularly with the Field Foremanwith regard to issues and concerns on the job site. 

• Responsible for ensuring that work continues in the Foreman’s absence. 

WorkConditions/Physical Demands 

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.  

• Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. 

• No adverse environmental conditions expected. 

• Must be able to work in high noise volumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, dusty conditions, hazardous machinery, precarious places, proximity to other employees.
