Data Engineer

Location: McLean, VA & Boston, MA  - Need local candidates

Pay Range : 60-65/hr on w2 

Introduction

We are seeking a skilled professional to work on a Python-based, AWS-native data ingestion platform. This platform involves CDK infrastructure, Glue/Spark consumers, and Lambda/ECS/Flink pipelines to move financial data from source systems into a third-party application.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python and AWS (Lambda, ECS, Kinesis, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, CDK)
• Solid Git/CI-CD discipline
• Previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 years

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with data-protection standards (HSHD/sensitive-data handling)
• Experience in remediating security findings and vulnerabilities
• Experience with unit and end-to-end testing

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pipeline stages across ingest, validation, tokenization, reformatting, and publishing
• Support E2E/system test phases
• Drive compliance with data-protection standards
