Hearth Australia is seeking an experienced Quality Improvement and Compliance Manager to join our Quality team who will lead our accreditation, governance, and continuous improvement functions across the organisation.Â
In this pivotal role, you will set and uphold standards for compliance, safety, and continuous improvement while shaping a culture of quality and accountability across both head office and support teams. Â
You will be primarily based in our Glen Iris office, with occasional travel required to our other Hearth offices and participant locations when requiredÂ
What You’ll Lead and Drive in your role:
- Oversee accreditation programs, internal audits, and quality management systems.Â
- Drive compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, Safeguards Commission requirements, OHS legislation, and organisational policies.Â
- Lead risk assessments, continuous improvement initiatives, and safeguarding frameworks.Â
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, and Commission submissions.Â
- Coordinate reportable incidents, restrictive practices, and behaviour support compliance.Â
- Build a culture of quality, safety, clinical excellence, and workforce capability.Â

Our Key Selection Criteria for the role:
- Proven experience in a Senior Quality, Governance or Compliance roleÂ
- Qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Nursing or related fieldÂ
- Experience in NDIS, Aged Care or Community ServicesÂ
Strong knowledge of:Â
- NDIS Practice StandardsÂ
- High Intensity Support Skill DescriptorsÂ
- Implementing behaviour support plans and restrictive practicesÂ
- Child Safe StandardsÂ
- Human rights-based frameworksÂ
- Proactive, resilient and solutions-focusedÂ
- Collaborative and confident in working with multidisciplinary teamsÂ
- Clinical governance and quality system leadershipÂ
- Risk management, incident oversight and OHS leadershipÂ
- Strong planning, documentation and stakeholder managementÂ
- Ability to influence, train, and uplift standards across teamsÂ
Mandatory requirementsÂ
- Relevant degree in health, disability or related disciplinesÂ
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or the willingness to obtain oneÂ
- Australian working rightsÂ
- Two professional referencesÂ
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a teamÂ
