We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor,state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiplesclerosis and stroke. Â

As a Material Handler, youare responsible for replenishing supplies,linens and other medical necessities to ensure caregivers providetimely, efficient patient care. In this role, your work is vital to the overall organization and functioning of the hospital system, allowing you to indirectly improve the lives of patients,caregivers and the community every day.Â
A caregiver in this position works Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri.9:00am—7:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:Â Â
Provide support to the hospital supervisor on project work.Â
Collaborate with management to improve daily activities.Â
Support areas that care for patients with higherlevel of acuity and volume.Â
Receive products from shipping and receiving area, unpack and inspect items for damage, verify accuracy of shipment and input information in the warehouse management system.Â
Receive, sort, put away, pick and deliver supplies, mail, patientrecords and other items as required.  Â
Rotate stock and checkfor outdates.Â
Handle returns by completing technical documentation and other requiredcommunication.Â
Support Site Managers with communications with customers to fulfill areas’ stocking needs andanticipate future needs.Â
Deliver supplies and materials to appropriate floors and health care facilities.Â
Monitor the flow of traffic into dock areas, prioritizingdeliveries ensuring the safe receipt of goods and supplies.Â
Put away freight, supplies, packages, and perishable items from dock facilities using materials handling equipment.Â
Stock picking locations using the warehouse management system, either manually orutilizing materials handling equipment according toidentifying information (size, style, and numbers) ensuring the safe movement of materials.Â
Perform physical count of stock for inventory control verification and rotate stock to minimize loss of materials.Â
Perform cycle counting asrequired.Â
Survey, fill and stock nursing floors and clinical areas to maintain inventory levels.Â
Deliver items using necessary equipment toappropriate hospital locations.Â
Unload and unpack cases andstocksdesignated storage areas with supplies.Â
Respond to inquiries related to materials in stock, ordering procedures, status ofitem, or filled orders.Â
Perform routine expiry management duties to meet KPIs.Â
Ensure products meet quality requirementsÂ
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â
Meet all Cleveland Clinic insurance requirementsÂ
May requireappropriateValid Driver’s License (VDL) to drive box trucksÂ
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â
High School Diploma or GEDÂ
One year of Materials Management experience or related experienceÂ
Inventory knowledgeÂ
Basic computer skillsÂ
Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting items that weigh up to 50 pounds.
Requires the ability to push a fully loaded cart weighing up to 800 pounds and pull a 2500-pound pallet using a manual pallet jack.
Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
