Senior Data Scientist

Position Summary

The Senior Data Scientist plays a key role in designing and delivering AI, machine learning, and automation solutions that drive business impact across retail and digital transformation initiatives. This role works closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross functional technology teams to develop scalable, production-ready AI solutions and support data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-endAI/ML and automation solutions.
• Build scalabledata pipelines, feature engineering workflows, and predictive models.
• Applymachine learning, statistical analysis, forecasting, and experimentation techniques to solve business problems.
• Collaborate withbusiness and technology teamsto translate business needs intoAI/ML solutions.
• Implement and supportMLOps practices including model deployment, monitoring, retraining, and CI/CD workflows.
• DevelopGenAI/LLM-based applications and automation toolsto improve operational efficiency.
• Participate inAgile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.
• Mentor junior data scientists through code reviews, technical guidance, and best practices.
• Ensure proper documentation, maintainability, and scalability of AI solutions.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inData Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience inData Science, Machine Learning, or Applied AI.
• Strong programming skills inPython and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such asScikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience with big data processing and cloud platforms such asPySpark and Azure Databricks.
• Strong understanding ofstatistics, forecasting, experimentation, and model evaluation.
• Experience withMLOps, model deployment, and monitoring processes.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to business stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience inretail, e-commerce, FMCG, or digital business environments.
• Familiarity withAzure ML, MLflow, Airflow, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Experience withGenAI, LLM applications, prompt engineering, or RAG pipelines.
• Understanding ofdata governance and PDPAconsiderations.
• Experience mentoring or leading junior team members.
• Certifications inAI, Cloud, or Data Scienceare a plus.
