Contract Data Pipeline Migration Engineer (On-site)

HEPCO is seeking a Data Pipeline Migration Engineer to move existing Alteryx and R analytical workflows into Dataiku and SQL. You’ll translate business logic, validate the results against the original pipelines, and hand off production-ready workflows to the internal team.

• Convert R and Alteryx workflows into modular SQL and Dataiku visual or SQL recipes.
• Deploy and test pipelines in a cloud warehouse such as Redshift, Snowflake, or Athena.
• Check migrated outputs against the source pipelines using row counts, checksums, and other practical tests.
• Document transformation logic, lineage, assumptions, test results, deployment steps, and known limitations.
• Lead two or three focused knowledge transfer sessions for data science and analytics team members.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of data engineering experience, including pipeline migration or re-platforming.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, CTEs, window functions, and query optimization.
• Experience translating R, Alteryx, or similar workflow logic into SQL or another target platform.
• Ability to work independently, flag blockers early, and explain technical work clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, or a related field; equivalent hands-on experience is also acceptable.

Preferred: Familiarity with Dataiku DSS, dbt concepts, or Git.

Pay Range: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
