As Connor continues to grow, we are looking for aSenior Associate to support ourSoftware Advisory Services team and contribute to global client engagements. In this role, you will assist with software license compliance and Software Asset Management (SAM) activities under the guidance of senior team members. You will support audit execution, data analysis, license optimization, process improvement, and contract review while delivering accurate, detail-oriented work and high-quality client service.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support engagement activities, including planning, execution, and reporting, with a focus on license baselining, usage analysis, renewal preparation, and Effective License Position (ELP) development.

• Conduct detailed entitlement reviews and license reconciliations across diverse environments and publishers.

• Collaborate with client-side SAM teams, procurement, IT operations, and finance teams to support asset lifecycle visibility and optimization.

• Configure and validate SAM tools and data integrations, such as Snow and Flexera, to ensure accurate reporting.
• Contribute to remediation and optimization recommendations by analyzing findings, preparing supporting documentation, and helping clients understand opportunities for cost savings and compliance alignment.

• Perform Excel-based analysis and work with structured and unstructured data sets as part of license and usage evaluations.

• Support internal audits and vendor audits by helping clients understand contractual entitlements and usage rights.
• Research and interpret product use rights, license models, and publisher-specific licensing metrics.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, including SaaS subscription models, BYOL, cloud consumption licensing, and ISO/ITIL SAM best practices.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve SAM capabilities, including governance support, policy documentation, reporting enhancements, and process automation.

• Track assigned workstreams, project milestones, and internal reporting needs, and communicate progress clearly to project leads.

Requirements: Experience, Skills, and Characteristics

• Experience in SAM, software license compliance, IT asset management, software advisory, data analytics, or a related technology consulting environment; prior consulting or enterprise experience is a plus.

• Academic background in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Certifications such as CSAM, CHAMP, ITIL, or ISO 19770 are a plus.
• Familiarity with licensing metrics from major vendors, including Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, VMware, and Autodesk; experience supporting license true-ups or audit responses is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, and working with large data sets.

• Hands-on experience with SAM tools such as Snow, Flexera, ServiceNow Asset Management, or Lansweeper.
• Ability to interpret complex licensing models and contractual language.
• Demonstrated ability to identify compliance gaps and propose remediation or optimization actions.

• Experience working in cross-functional teams and balancing competing priorities across assigned tasks or workstreams.

• Highly organized, methodical, with a strong eye for detail and data integrity.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey licensing and SAM findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
