Position Overview

We are hiring multiple Event Support Staff for a large corporate event at Moscone West in San Francisco. This is a short-term temporary opportunity for dependable, professional, customer-service-oriented individuals who enjoy working with people in a fast-paced event environment.

Staff will assist with event preparation, attendee registration, guest wayfinding, and transportation directions. No prior event experience is required. Candidates should be friendly, reliable, punctual, and comfortable interacting with event attendees.

Responsibilities

• Pack attendee registration bags and event materials

• Assist with attendee registration and distribute name badges

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional customer service

• Assist with wayfinding and direct attendees throughout the event

• Answer basic directional and event-related questions

• Direct attendees to event transportation from designated hotel locations

• Follow instructions from onsite event coordinators

• Maintain a professional and helpful presence throughout the assigned shift

Monday, October 5 – Moscone West

• 4 openings

• 10:00 AM–12:00 PM

• Packing and preparing registration bags

Tuesday, October 6 – Moscone West

• 7 openings

• 7:30 AM arrival

• Registration is open from 9:00 AM–6:30 PM

• Registration and attendee support

Wednesday, October 7 – Moscone West

Morning:

• 6 openings

• 7:00 AM–1:00 PM

Afternoon:

• 3 openings

• 1:00 PM–4:00 PM

Wednesday, October 7 – Evening Hotel Support

• 16 openings

• 6:00 PM–8:00 PM

• All staff will initially meet at Moscone West and then be dispatched in teams of two to an assigned downtown San Francisco hotel.

Hotel assignments:

• Hilton Union Square – 2 staff

• Hotel Nikko – 2 staff

• Hyatt SOMA – 2 staff

• Client Marquis – 2 staff

• The Palace – 2 staff

• Four Seasons – 2 staff

• InterContinental – 2 staff

• St. Regis – 2 staff

Evening staff will primarily assist with attendee wayfinding and directing guests to event transportation from hotel lobbies.

Thursday, October 8 – Moscone West

• 2 openings

• 7:00 AM–2:00 PM

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor

• Excellent reliability and punctuality

• Ability to commit to the full assigned shift

• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods

• Comfortable working in a busy convention/event environment

• Able to follow directions and work effectively with an onsite team

• Previous event, hospitality, retail, restaurant, reception, or customer service experience is helpful but not required

Ideal Candidate Backgrounds

Candidates with experience as Event Staff, Brand Ambassadors, Registration Staff, Guest Services Associates, Hotel Staff, Hosts/Hostesses, Receptionists, Retail Associates, Customer Service Representatives, Ushers, or Conference Staff are encouraged to apply.

This is a short-term event assignment with firm scheduled shifts. Candidates should only commit to shifts they are certain they can work in full. Reliability and punctuality are critical to the success of the event.
