Position:Technical Specialist - Mainframe Expert 

Location:Raleigh, NC (Onsite)

Duration:Long-term Contract on W2 (GC/USC Only)

Key Responsibilities & Technical Skills

The ideal candidate will serve as a core mainframe expert, utilizing a deep technical stack including CICS, DB2, Elixir, Endevor, IMS, and JCL. Additional experience with middleware and MQ is highly beneficial.

Your core focus will involve:

• Utilizing thorough knowledge of theZ/OS operating system, its interrelationships, and overall functionality.
• Providing comprehensiveconfiguration management and release management support and guidance forEndevor software.
• Applying advanced knowledge ofSQL programming language, techniques, and utilities to supportDB2.
• Evaluating complex SQL queries to recommend performance tuning adjustments and cost-saving measures.
• DeliveringCICS administration, troubleshooting, and debugging support while interfacing seamlessly with application developers and DIT personnel.

• 7+ Years of experience with the Z/OS operating system, its interrelationships, and functionality.
• 7+ Years of experience providing configuration management / release management support and guidance for Endevor software.
• 7+ Years of expert-level knowledge of SQL programming language and techniques.
• 7+ Years of experience utilizing tools and utilities to support DB2.
• 7+ Years of proven ability evaluating complex SQL queries for optimization.
