SUMMARY:Toreceive,inspect,inventory,handle, move,issue,kitanddeliver materialsin a safe,accurateandefficient manner.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
LogisticsAssociatesshallcarryoutall tasksissuedbytheLogisticsSupervisor/Foremanin a safeandconscientious manner,payingspecialattentiontothequalityofworkmanshipandvaluetime managementconstantly.Tasks mayincludebutare notlimited to:
Receivesallinbound materialsandequipmentbyenteringarrivalreportsand materialinspections forquantityand qualityintoERPSystem.
Properlycounts,inspects,identifies,inventories, cyclecount, marksandissues materials throughERPSystem.
Issuesandinventoriesconsumableitems.
Processesandpackages equipmentand materials forshipping,storageorinstallationasrequired.
Mustbeableto followdirectionsandworkwithlimitedsupervision.
Unloads andunpacks materialsastheyarrive onsite.
Properlyinventoriesand marksall materialsrequiringstorage.
Ensurestimelydeliveryof materialsand support tothe tradesasdirected.
Loads/unloadssupplier andAustalcompanyvehicles fordeliveryof materialsasrequired.
PerformstransactionsinERPsystemandothersoftware systemsutilizingPCand/orwirelessscanningequipment. Â UtilizePC forothersoftwareapplications,emailandMicrosoftOffice(Excel/Word)asneeded.
ImmediatelyinformsSupervisor/Formanofany issues that mayaffectperformanceorabilityto fulfillrequired tasks.
Reliesoninstructionsandpre-established guidelines toperformdailyfunctionsof thejob.
Carries assignments in a safeandconscientious manner,payingspecialattention tothequalityofworkmanshipandvaluestime managementconstantly.
Maybeassigned tasksoutsidecraftasrequired.
Issuesandinventoriestools,includes toolengraving.
Delivers materialsandtoolsto thetradesasrequired
Assistswithotherdutiesasrequired
Complies with Austal’s employee handbook general guidelines, company procedures and policies.
For those performing this role for Post Delivery Services and Support, the following responsibilities are required in addition to the aforementioned:
- Safely use company assets to make deliveries from the warehouse to the dock.
QUALIFICATIONS /KNOWLEDGE /EXPERIENCE:

For those performing this role for Post Delivery Services and Support, the following responsibilities are required in addition to the aforementioned:
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to pass and maintain Austal driver qualifications listed below:
- (A) Must be able to take and pass a National Safety Council - Defensive Driving Course that will be provided by Austal
- (B) During the past three years, not received one, or, more driver license violation for:
- Driving while intoxicated (DWI)
- Driving while under the influence of drugs (DUID)
- Negligent homicide arising out of the use of a motor vehicle (gross negligence)
- Operating during a period of suspension or revocation
- Using a motor vehicle for the commission of a felony
- Aggravated assault with a motor vehicle
- Operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s authority (grand theft)
- Permitting an unlicensed person to drive
- Reckless driving
- Leaving the scene of an accident
- Speed contest (racing)
- Hit and run (bodily injury or property damage)
- Eluding a police officer.
- (C). During the past three (3) years, not received three (3), or, more driver license violations for:
- All moving violations not listed in “B” above.
ADDITIONALGUIDELINES:

No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date
