Job Summary

Performs a variety of general laundry and housekeeping/cleaning duties to provide quality laundry service and maintain the facility in a safe, sanitary manner free from offensive odors.

🍁Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Linen & Garment Care: Collect daily laundry from residents; sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens.
• Supply Availability: Ensure a consistent supply of clean linen is available for resident care and comfort.
• Quality & Repair: Maintain linens in good repair, removing any items with holes or permanent stains from service.
• Delivery & Labeling: Label clothing for new residents as needed and deliver clean items directly to resident rooms.
• Sanitation & Safety: Strictly follow all sanitary processes and safety guidelines when operating industrial equipment and handling cleaning supplies.
• Inventory & Maintenance: Monitor laundry supply levels and promptly report equipment issues to the Administrator.

🍂Job Qualifications

• Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions related to laundry and housekeeping procedures.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic skills.
• Reasoning Ability: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to seek assistance when appropriate.
• Certifications: None required.

🌾Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. Frequent operation of industrial washers, dryers, and cleaning equipment.
• Lifting: Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Environment: Indoor facility environment with low to moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties.

💰 Pay Range: $11 – $15/hr
