Job Description:

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

• Monitor, problem solve, and direct workers as questions and need for directive arise to ensure efficient and safe completion of tasks daily, with those actions being representative of the company’s operations and values.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with numerous people including the Paradise Inn General Manager, Assistant General Manager, other departments, guests, HR, and other key stakeholders as needed.
• Attend and participate in management and safety meetings.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and write daily shiftreports.
• Ensure proper shift coverage and manage mealbreaks.
• Address staffing conflicts and mitigate situations from escalating.
• Ensures internal compliance of cash handling,  asset security,  key controls etc… general company policy and National Park Service Standards.
• Under guidance of the General Manager and the Assistant General Manager, participate in pre-and-post season setups /teardown of thehotel, F& B and Retail operations.
• Manage staff appropriately to enforce standards and minimize personnelconflicts.
• Participate in department check-in and cash out procedures, and other accounting functions asdelegated.
• Engage in and resolve guest issues as theyarise.
• Oversee department records such as schedules, payroll, deposits, tips, and daily cashreports.
• Performs such other related duties as directed orrequired.

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTSINCLUDE

• High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s or Business Degreepreferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in related management.
• Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety ofpeople.
• Computer proficiency with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, andOutlook.
• Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to work well as a team leader; ability to problem-solve.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looking for ways to assist customers andcoworkers.

PHYSICAL AND MENTALREQUIREMENTS

• Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changingenvironment.
• Ability to stay calm and professional underpressure
• Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs.occasionally.
• Ability to stand for the entire workday and to climb stepsregularly.
• Withstanding temperature extremes in indoor and outdoorenvironments.
• Reading and writing work-related documents inEnglish.
• Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
• Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in a fast-pacedenvironment.
• Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.
