We're looking for aPurchasing Managerwho delivers value to the business through strong leadership of the purchasing team and collaboration with relevant stakeholders as a key member of the MTS Supply Chain Team.

What You'll Do:

• Provide leadership and direction for the purchasing function to ensure delivery of value to the business through compliance with standards and procedures while meeting production schedules, cost and inventory targets, and quality requirements. Work directly with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve critical parts availability and supplier quality issues.
• Develop, maintain, and improve processes and procedures. Ensure high quality service, efficient operation, and compliance with established methods/standards. Initiate corrective action as appropriate. Responsible for all purchasing processes and documents. Oversee accuracy of SAP transactions to ensure integrity of data. Responsible for annual material standard cost roll analysis.
• Set stocking and replenishment strategies to maximize customer on-time delivery, hit product lead time targets, and right size inventory. Establish and monitor purchasing/replenishment-related material master settings and ensure proper configuration in SAP. Monitor effectiveness and initiate changes based on results. Actively participate in material planning activities, including S&OP and forecasting processes.
• Work with the Sourcing team to mitigate supply chain risks and develop a robust, responsive, high performingsupply base. Align purchasing team with Sourcing team and strategies.
• Ensure proper alignment and communication with all stakeholders on issues and opportunities as they arise.
• Identify material cost reduction opportunities, collaboratively working with suppliers, buyers, sourcing managers, and engineering, to hit annual cost reduction targets.
• Provide leadership for assigned employees and creates professional development plans for each employee. Determine staffing and skill requirements to meet departmental and business needs, and implements plans to satisfy those requirements. Set expectations and standards for performance, including enabling a continuous improvement culture.
• Responsible for managing some support/administrative tasks, including, but not limited to, the Vendor Requestsystem, Conflict Minerals, some reporting activities, and other tasks as assigned.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3 years experience in Purchasing in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of MRP systems required; experience with SAP a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to negotiate resolution of issues with vendors
• Strong analytic skills
• Preferred: Experience participating in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)

Compensation Information:

$92,000 - $140,000 Annual Salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
