Senior Java Developer

We're currently searching for a Senior Java Developer to join our organization. This opportunity suits an accomplished engineer who thrives on taking full charge of complex builds from the earliest planning stages through to live release. You'll play a part in developing and enhancing services that manage detailed investment data and distributed systems, environments where correctness, stability, and the ability to scale carry significant weight. Note that this position follows a hybrid model, calling for a four-day-per-week office presence

Responsibilities

• Plan, construct, and maintain software built around Java and Spring Boot technology
• Craft durable, scalable APIs, microservices, and distributed system components
• Guide solutions through every stage of the engineering process, covering design, coding, rollout, and post-launch support
• Troubleshoot and resolve complicated application and data-related problems with lasting fixes
• Engage actively in architectural discussions, technical planning sessions, peer code reviews, testing efforts, and CI/CD pipeline development
• Apply AWS and additional cloud-native solutions to develop stable, expandable systems
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business colleagues to produce meaningful technical results
• Pass along technical knowledge and mentor other engineers to support their development

Requirements

• Minimum three years of practical, relevant experience working with Java and Spring Boot
• Track record building APIs, microservices, and distributed system solutions
• Firm understanding of software design concepts, testing approaches, performance tuning, and production dependability
• Considerable experience working with SQL and relational database technology
• Applied experience with AWS or similar cloud computing platforms
• Understanding of event-driven architecture principles and tools such as Kafka
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills, along with working English fluency at B2 level or higher, supporting reliable comprehension of business requirements and their translation into technical work
• Shown ability to lead technical efforts independently while maintaining ownership from concept through completion

Nice to have

• Prior exposure to financial services, investment management, or capital markets industries
• Familiarity with Corporate Actions and related investment lifecycle procedures
• Practical experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar tools
• Background developing or modernizing complex, large-scale systems
