Lead Functional Tester

We are seeking aLead Functional Tester to join our team on a large-scale e-commerce project in the beauty industry. The project centers on developing and supporting applications across Desktop, mWeb, iOS, and Android platforms, covering back-end, front-end, and native mobile apps. Approximately 200 EPAM specialists work together to enhance this e-commerce solution, which includes multiple modules and third-party components.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional testing of the e-commerce application across desktop, mobile web (iOS/Android), native apps (iOS/Android), and back-end
• Contribute directly to the implementation and execution of automated tests
• Leverage GenAI tools, services, and solutions to boost team velocity (regression execution time, script updates, execution analysis, reporting, etc.)
• Adapt processes as needed to maximize the efficiency of GenAI solutions and promote AI adoption within the QA function
• Perform web analytics testing using Charles proxy with validation via Adobe Analytics
• Build and refine the Test Strategy based on the project situation
• Review and analyze product requirements for clarity and alignment with existing features
• Log and verify defects, and coordinate automation progress within the Pod
• Lead the QA team — planning, estimation, organizing, control, and task prioritization
• Handle change and risk, adjust processes per project needs, manage improvements, and train QA engineers on effective use of GenAI solutions
• Build/update Jira dashboards, gather QA statistics, deliver status reporting, provide sprint sign-off, and support production releases
• Take part in grooming, planning, retro, daily standups, and manage communication within the distributed team, acting as the offshore team representative with the on-site team

Requirements

• 5+ years of QA experience
• 2+ years of experience leading QA teams (4-6 persons)
• Background in enhancing QA processes with the help of GenAI tools and services
• Basic experience in Mobile testing and API/Web services testing
• Capability to define and refine Testing Strategy
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Reliability, self-dependence, and stress resistance to manage challenging deadlines, unclear requirements, and evolving processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+ level)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the BDD test approach and Gherkin language
• Background in the e-commerce domain
• Showcase of a proactive attitude
