Lead Functional Tester

We are looking for aLead Functional Tester to join our team working on a large-scale e-commerce project in the beauty industry. Our project focuses on the development and support of applications across Desktop, mWeb, iOS, and Android platforms, including back-end, front-end, and native mobile apps. Around 200 EPAM specialists collaborate to enhance this e-commerce experience, which features multiple modules and third-party components.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of the e-commerce application across desktop, mobile web (iOS/Android), native apps (iOS/Android), and back-end
• Contribute directly to automated tests implementation and execution
• Apply GenAI tools, services, and solutions to improve team velocity (regression execution time, script updates, execution analysis, reporting, etc.)
• Adjust processes as needed to maximize the efficiency of GenAI solutions and drive AI adoption within the QA function
• Conduct web analytics testing with Charles proxy and validation via Adobe Analytics
• Develop and adjust the Test Strategy based on project situation
• Review and analyze product requirements for clarity and consistency with existing features
• Write and verify defects, and coordinate automation progress within the Pod
• Coordinate the QA team — planning, estimation, organizing, control, and task prioritization
• Manage change and risk, update processes per project needs, handle improvements, and educate QA engineers on effective use of GenAI solutions
• Create/update Jira dashboards, collect QA statistics, perform status reporting, provide sprint sign-off, and support production releases
• Participate in grooming, planning, retro, daily standups, and handle communication within the distributed team, acting as the offshore team representative with the on-site team

Requirements

• 5+ years of QA experience
• 2+ years of experience in leading QA teams (4-6 persons)
• Background in improving QA processes with the help of GenAI tools and services
• Basic experience in Mobile testing and API/Web services testing
• Capability to define and improve Testing Strategy
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Reliability, self-dependence, and stress resistance to handle challenging deadlines, unclear requirements, and evolving processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+ level)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the BDD test approach and Gherkin language
• Experience in the e-commerce domain
• Proactive attitude
