Automation Tester (Java)

We're actively searching for an Automation Tester to add to our expanding team. The ideal person will demonstrate proficient Java test automation abilities, hands-on background with Selenium and REST API validation, and familiarity with core web application security concepts including common OWASP threats.

Responsibilities

• Write, assemble, and regularly refresh Java-based automated testing scripts
• Configure and oversee continuous UI automation work using the Selenium tool
• Craft automated test scenarios directed at REST APIs and supporting backend systems
• Ensure vulnerability-related security patches have been applied properly and that all identified problems reach full resolution
• Run through rounds of functional, integration, and regression testing following security patches, dependency shifts, and other application updates
• Check outcomes and the success of remediation work through Veracode or similar SAST, SCA, and DAST solutions
• Collaborate with the development team to recreate security-related issues and confirm proper implementation of fixes
• Verify that fixes addressing security don't generate new issues within functionality vital to business operations
• Evaluate outcomes from automated test runs, spot cases that failed, and help pinpoint underlying causes
• Perform validation activities at the API and database tier whenever needed
• Work in tight coordination with engineers, fellow QA staff, product stakeholders, and other members of the team
• Contribute to continuous improvements in testing coverage, automation methods, and quality metrics across various applications

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of applied, real-world experience in Java-driven test automation
• Considerable practical skill using the Selenium framework
• Meaningful experience validating and confirming REST API behavior
• Background embedding and running automated tests within CI/CD pipeline environments
• Working knowledge of core web application security topics and common OWASP-related threats
• Capacity to assess and verify the success of security-oriented fixes
• Practical experience executing functional, integration, and regression testing types
• Sharp problem-solving skills combined with solid analytical capability
• Capability to work effectively within established enterprise systems and handle intricate business processes
• Firm command of SQL paired with hands-on experience in database validation
• Adequate communication ability along with English proficiency at B2 level or above, supporting comprehension of business needs and their translation into agentic architectures

Nice to have

• Background integrating and sustaining automated tests within CI/CD pipeline frameworks
• Direct experience using Veracode or comparable security testing platforms
• Familiarity with SAST, SCA, and/or DAST tools along with the ability to interpret resulting data
• Experience testing applications developed with Spring or Spring Boot technology
• Hands-on experience with regression testing and automation efforts within legacy enterprise systems
• Experience testing applications undergoing dependency, framework, or security-driven upgrades
• Background in either developing new or modernizing existing large-scale, complex technical systems
