Position Summary
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Control Inspector is directly accountable for product control including final inspection, in process inspections, documentation and control of non-conforming material; control and verification of production process changes, tooling control, and control of monitoring and measuring devices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire knowledge of process specifications and materials
- Implementation and continual improvement of product inspection plans
- Perform in-process and final inspection of detail parts, minor and structural assemblies, plans their execution, documentation, and record retentionÂ
- Perform inspection duties to ensure all products, processes and services comply with applicable airworthiness, Company, or customer quality requirementsÂ
- Manage nonconforming material control in accordance with company’s quality assurance proceduresÂ
- Provide assistance in quality review of Engineering MastersÂ
- Liaise with quality engineering, methods engineering, design engineering and supply chain to develop resolutions and implement root cause corrective actions to technical or quality problemsÂ
- Manage the control of monitoring and measuring (inspection and test) devices in accordance with established company’s quality assurance proceduresÂ
- Actively participate and contribute as a member of the quality assurance teamÂ
- Monitoring, measuring and communicating product and process metricsÂ
- Propose and support improvement projects related to quality assurance proceduresÂ
- Participate and support corrective action request as a result of nonconforming trend analysisÂ
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years aerospace specific quality inspection and or equivalentÂ
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in an inspection, production, or handling product roleÂ
- Experience in the maintenance of De Havilland DHC1 thru DHC6 aircraft types is an assetÂ
- Working knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulation CAR 561, 571 and CAR Std. 57,561Â Â
- Understanding of Certificates of Conformance (CofC) issues by part makers and Airworthiness Release Certificates (FAA 8130/TCAA Form One/Easa Form 1)Â
- Experience in continuous improvementÂ
- IFS ERP system experience (or similar i.e. Total FBO, TRAX etc.) for the control and issue of aeronautical parts and materials is an assetÂ
- Transport Canada accredited College Diploma in Aeronautics is an assetÂ
- Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s license (AME) is an assetÂ
- Technical degree or diploma in Aerospace Engineering is an assetÂ
Skills:Â
- Must have a strong attention to detail skillsÂ
- Knowledge and ability to read and understand complex aircraft design drawings/blueprints and perform measurements/testing of parts made to these designsÂ
- Strong focus on both internal and external customer service with excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc. Â
