$18.24 - $32.82(based on a full time schedule of 40 hours per week).

The Office Coordinator oversees the Admin Staff and ensures that their day to day job requirements arecompleted, their offices are kept clean and a request is put in for any supplies needed for the office.
I. Major Responsibilities:
1. This role supports the business office by providing cross coverage and ensuring accurate and efficient patient registration and scheduling.
2. The Office Coordinator will also act as back-up in the event another employee calls out or is on vacation.
a. Examples include, but not limited to, office supplies are stocked, building facilities are fully functioning, computers & copiers are working, clinic schedules are reflected accurately in Allscripts systems.
3. The Office Coordinator may be assigned special projects as needed.
4. Any disciplinary actions with other employees should be discussed with the Director of Wound Care beforehand.
5. Ensures and verifies that initial authorizations are obtained for services for new and current patients, processing accurate charge entry and diagnosis information.
6. The Coordinator is to uphold policies, deliver courteous customer service, and stay current on departmental updates, billing changes, and system procedures through regular meetings and trainings.

II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
1. Associates Degree.
Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Minimum two years' experience.
2. Strong understanding of hospital and third-party billing procedures, proactive problem-solving, and effective communication with patients, staff, and leadership.
Preferred:

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.
III. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:
Work is considered sedentary. Position requires work indoors in a normal office environment.
