🎯 The Role

As anAI Solutions Architect, you will work at the intersection ofartificial intelligence, data engineering, and business problem-solving, helping transform how analysts, researchers, engineers, and business stakeholders interact with data.

You will join asmall, highly skilled team and work directly with senior stakeholders toidentify opportunities, design AI-powered solutions, and deliver them into production.

This is ahands-on role, combining deep technical expertise with strong communication skills, where you will independentlydrive initiatives from problem discovery through implementation.

This role closely resembles aForward Deployed Engineer (FDE) profile: engaging directly with stakeholders, understanding complex business challenges, rapidly prototyping and deploying solutions, and taking full ownership of outcomes.

💵Compensation: £58k – £87k (Senior) or £83k – £108k (Principal)

💥 Your Impact

In this role, you will:

• Lead thedesign and implementation of AI-powered solutions across enterprise data and analytics functions

• Work directly with stakeholders tounderstand business challenges and translate them into technical solutions

• Buildproduction-grade agentic AI systems leveraging LLMs, retrieval architectures, semantic models, and knowledge representations

• Developintelligent document processing solutions for financial filings and structured financial content

• Design and enhancesemantic search, retrieval, and data discovery capabilities

• Buildnatural language interfaces enabling non-technical users to interact with complex datasets

• Contribute tometadata modelling, governance frameworks, and AI enablement initiatives

• Own thefull lifecycle from discovery through implementation, deployment, and optimisation

• Act as atrusted technical partner, driving delivery and business value independently

• You will regularly interact withsenior stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts clearly

👤 What We’re Looking For

Must-haves

• Strong experience developing solutions inPython (APIs, async architectures, pipelines, production systems)

• Hands-on experience withLLMs and Generative AI, including:

  • Prompt engineering and structured output generation

  • Tool use and agent orchestration

  • Agentic workflows and multi-step reasoning

• Strong experience designingRAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures:

  • Embeddings, vector databases, retrieval pipelines

  • Chunking, indexing, and evaluation frameworks

• Experience withknowledge representation and semantic modelling:

  • Knowledge graphs, semantic search, metadata-driven architectures

• StrongSQL skills (analytics, joins, window functions)

• Experience withPython frameworks (FastAPI, pandas, etc.)

• Experience withenterprise data platforms (e.g. Snowflake)

• Ability totranslate business problems into technical solutions

• Strongclient-facing communication skills

• Proven ability to work withhigh autonomy and ownership

• Experience working withfinancial data / regulatory datasets

• Fluent English

• Willingness totravel occasionally if needed

Nice-to-haves

• Experience withAWS Bedrock or enterprise AI platforms

• Experience withAI development tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.)

• Experience withgraph databases (Neo4j) and knowledge graphs

• Experience withfinancial data extraction (SEC, EDGAR, XBRL)

• Exposure tometadata platforms (Collibra, MDM)

• Experience buildingAI-powered data marketplaces or semantic search platforms

• Background inconsulting / solution architecture / FDE roles

• Experience working inhighly consultative, enterprise environments

• Bottom of the range
  You meet the core requirements and will need ramp-up time and support.

• Middle of the range
  You are fully autonomous from Day 1 and deliver consistently.

• Top of the range
  You are a reference for the role, mentor others, and raise the bar for the team.
