About the Role
As aBackend Studio Lead (.NET), you will serve as the technical backbone and primary authority for our client's backend ecosystem. In this hands-on individual contributor role, you will shape technical strategy, architect highly available backend services, and elevate engineering standards across the board without the administrative weight of direct people management.
This role is critical to anchoring architectural modernization, scaling system infrastructure, and fostering a culture of technical excellence across nearshorePODs. By bridging the gap between high-level client business objectives and scalable execution, your technical stewardship will directly drive product reliability, high-caliber talent acquisition through technical interviewing, and long-term platform growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural direction, system design, and technical governance for enterprise-grade backend services.
- Build and maintain high-performance, secureRESTful APIs and microservices utilizingC# and.NET 6+.
- Optimize complex database schemas,SQL Server query performance, indexing strategies, and data access layers.
- Evaluate prospective engineering talent by conducting rigoroustechnical interviews and code assessments to maintain high engineering standards.
- Design resilient distributed systems onGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP) leveraging modern containerization andCI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate directly with US-based client stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust, modern technical solutions.
- Years of Experience:8+ years of professional backend software development experience, including3+ years anchoring technical direction as a Lead Engineer, Staff Engineer, or Software Architect.
- Tech Stack: Expert mastery ofC#,.NET Core / .NET 6+,ASP.NET Web API,SQL Server,GCP,Docker, andGit.
- Soft Skills: High ownership mindset, natural ability to mentor and influence without authority, and strong client-facing presence.
- Language Proficiency:Advanced English (written and verbal) with exceptional communication skills for direct US stakeholder interaction.
- Proven experience modernizing legacy.NET Framework applications into modern cloud-native architectures.
- Hands-on exposure toKubernetes orchestration and messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) for event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and quality engineering practices in high-growth environments.
- Experience working within agile nearshorePODs or high-growth startup environments.
