Primary Purpose of Role

We're looking for a Software Engineer who can take a problem and run with it. You'll join a self-organised Srum team building features end-to-end across a modern TypeScript stack, with the autonomy to choose the right solution and the support of a genuinely collaborative team.

Core Accountabilities

• Deliver features independently within your team, from design through to production
• Weigh up multiple potential solutions and implement the best one - with an eye on wider team goals
• Give valuable, actionable feedback in code reviews and pair regularly with teammates
• Use AI-assisted development tools independently to accelerate delivery, and share useful patterns and prompts with the team
• Investigate and fix bugs, take operational responsibility, and keep stakeholders in the loop

Experience

• 2+ years (or equivalent) of software development experience
• 1+ years with React and 1+ years with NodeJS; solid modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, single-page applications and microservice architecture
• Experience with (or strong interest in) AWS, CI/CD and test-driven development
• A proactive, collaborative approach and clear written and verbal communication

Skills 

Our engineers work in self-organised SCRUM teams building new features and products on a modern stack: TypeScript, NodeJS and React, microservices on AWS (Fargate today, moving to Lambda, API Gateway and SQS), with TDD and full CI/CD. AI-assisted development (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) is a growing part of how we build - we invest in using it well, and every engineer owns and reviews what ships.
