Akron General’s Center for Family Medicine (CFM) is looking to add a Coordinator III to its administrative team to help propel this mission. Located on the 2nd floor of Akron General’s Ambulatory Care Center (ACC), the Center for Family Medicine (CFM) provides a full range of primary care services to adults and children including obstetrics, pediatrics, geriatrics and behavioral health counseling. In this role, you will provide day-to-day administrative support to the core teaching faculty of CFM. You will also act as the primary contact for all physician schedules related to the teaching responsibilities in conjunction with their clinical practice and residency schedules related to the Center for Family Medicine, ensuring advanced schedule creation, hospital rounding, coverage and proper patient access. Beyond these responsibilities, the Coordinator III is also an integral member of CFM’s administrative team and serves as a key liaison to internal stakeholders, acting as a resource for the Primary Care Institute and Ambulatory Operations on matters related to residency operations. 

 

This role offers the opportunity to learn through each interaction and the chance to move into other roles such as Administrative Program Coordinator or supervisory positions. You may also work remotely one day per week, allowing more flexibility within the role. 

A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM – 4:30PM or 7:30AM – 4:00PM. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Coordinate all support and clerical activities for the department by providing support to internal clients while functioning as a liaison with external clients.  

  • Coordinate various department activities by facilitating analysis and reporting information. 

  • Develop, maintain and distribute reports for schedules, budgets, staff, PTO and patient information.  

  • Prepare, provide analysis for and implement special studies and projects.  

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • High School Diploma or GED 

  • Five years of office experience 

  • Five years of experience coordinating and assisting with management functions and special projects 

  • Proficient with spreadsheets, word processing and database software 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
  • In some locations, ability to move up to 20 pounds
