Workforce Governance Project Manager (18-month fixed term)

from 🇬🇧 United Kingdom

We’re looking for a delivery-focused Project Manager to support the development and execution of CIMSPA’s National Workforce Registration and Governance Project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the expected quality standards.

This is ahands-on delivery role, ideal for someone who enjoys managing plans, coordinating activity, and keeping complex projects moving forward, rather than operating purely at a strategic or advisory level.

The Workforce Governance Project Manager will act as a liaison between departments, project teams and stakeholders and will be responsible for managing all project-related resources, including time and materials. You will play a key role in coordinating multiple workstreams, including digital elements, and ensuring alignment across teams.

This role will hold responsibility for identifying interdependencies and proactively removing barriers to ensure successful delivery of the project.

It will also involve supporting the identification, mitigation, and resolution of strategic and project risks, as well as other issues that may impact delivery.

The role requires strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, alongside demonstrable experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously and translating strategic decisions into practical, operational delivery.

Key tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage the full delivery of the National Workforce Governance Project, ensuring effective planning and coordination across workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain the project plan, timelines, and governance processes.
  • Coordinate project teams and the digital workstream to ensure smooth, aligned delivery.
  • Track and report on project progress, budget, outcomes, and benefits to key stakeholders.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, escalating where necessary.
  • Maintain strong relationships across teams to ensure consistent communication and delivery momentum.
  • Translate strategic decisions into operational activity across the project.

Please note - this is a hybrid role requiring regular attendance at our Loughborough Head Office, together with attendance at meetings, stakeholder events and team functions as required.
