Define the technical direction for next‑generation modelsÂ
Core ResponsibilitiesÂ
Deep Learning & Transformer FoundationsÂ
Apply strong fundamentals in deep learning and representation learningÂ
Design and modify transformer architectures, including:Â
Attention variantsÂ
RoPE, ALiBiÂ
Grouped Query Attention (GQA)Â
Mixture‑of‑Experts (MoE)Â
Build models from first principles, not just adapt pre‑existing codebasesÂ
Optimisation Dynamics & Training StabilityÂ
Own optimiser and scheduler choices, including:Â
AdamWÂ
LionÂ
AdafactorÂ
Learning‑rate and warmup schedulersÂ
Understand and debug:Â
Optimiser instabilityÂ
Gradient pathologiesÂ

What we offerÂ
We offer a generous compensation and benefits package (in addition to the base salary), including:Â
Salary range $123,500.00 - $197,600.00 USD  It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. The actual salary will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors.Â
